Beyond The Build

For real results, and to get your website in front of as many people as possible; you need to get ranked highly in the search engines

This takes time or money, or a combination of the two. We offer a range of services to help

Where else can you get a professional looking website that is easily updateable for just £495?

Just take a look at What you get for £495

We have a clearly laid out set of options should you need help with marketing and promoting you website once it is live

The One Day Website is our headline product and we’re very proud of the concept, but we can build other types of website

We can adapt templates to suit your needs. Yep we know that arty farty graphic designers dismiss template sites. That’s because they want to charge you lots of money for a bespoke design. Nothing wrong with that, but good design costs a lot, and bad design isn’t worth paying for. The fact is that using a template as a base for design reduces the cost, and you know roughly what your site will look like from the outset – no nasty surprises

Last, for sites that will have many pages, or ecommerce websites, we can introduce you to a software platform that is powerful beyond belief – from £1500 + vat

Which of these three people is most likely to buy something from your business in the future?

a) Someone who has had no previous contact with your business and possibly doesn’t even know that it exists.

b) Someone who has actually been into your business premises.

c) Someone who has previously bought something from you.

The answer is obviously c) so why then do most business owners target their advertising at the a) group, 95% of whom don’t have the remotest interest in what’s on offer? Is it just because that’s how advertising has always been done in the past

Marketing to people who’ve already PROVED that they are willing to spend money with your business is just about the smartest thing that any business owner can do.

Have you ever bought anything from Ebay or Amazon? Pay attention to what happens AFTER you have done so.

At Amazon in particular, you don’t even have to buy something to have their automated marketing machine swing into action. You can check this out easily right now. Go to www.amazon.co.uk and browse around a little, just take a look at some items that interest you and spend 5 minutes or so on their website. Then go back tomorrow. You’ll find that they present offers SIMILAR to the ones you looked at yesterday.

Amazon take the trouble to find out what you are interested in buying, then market to you based on your interests.

Every business needs to advertise to survive, more so in difficult economic times. If you’d like to start getting a decent ROI on your advertising spend just contact me.

Oh and as for the people in category b)

If you have a business premises like a shop, garage, restaurant, etc. and you’re not continually marketing to the people who enter your premises AFTER THEY HAVE LEFT, you’re turning down the opportunity to make MASSIVE PROFITS. It’s so simple to put a system in place to do this, yet very few people know how.

1. Owning a website allows you to keep offline advertising brief (and cheaper), just point them to your website for more information.

2. A website can be easily updated and be re-visited by your customers, unlike static, one-shot, offline advertising

3. Building a marketing list of customers and potential customers will become a major focus for business over the next decade. A website allows you to build your list.

4. Your customers are online and looking to spend money on goods and services – in 2006, 93% of people earning £36,400 or more had used the internet in the last 3 months*.

5. Again from 2006, 84% of people who had used the internet in the last 3 months were “searching for information about goods or services”.*

6. The more information people can find out about your company BEFORE they contact you, the more likely they are to buy.

7. Many people now use the internet to find phone numbers, if your business doesn’t have a website you are losing customers to your competitors.

8. Mobile internet useage is increasing

9. There’s a whole new generation of consumers coming through who’ve grown up using the internet.

10. You can get a professional website from just £199
You can learn how to do this and I can show you the technical aspects of how to set up and configure your autoresponder account, test it, and tweak it to get a decent opt in rate (the percentage of people who join your list). It’s not really that difficult, but it does take some time.

OR, you can hire me to set up and run the system for you. This option is cheaper than you might think.

It’s widely accepted in business that a prospective client may not buy from you until he has been exposed to your offer up to 7 times.

The best salespeople know this and in a verbal situation attempt to close numerous times rather than giving up after the first NO.

Imagine that over the last 5 years you have built a list of 10,000 people who are either interested in your products and services, or have actually bought from you.

From their very first, tentative enquiry, you have sent them a constant (anywhere from daily to monthly) series of emails that they have opted to receive.

Each email highlights the benefits of doing business with you and the subject matter might include:

Case studies and testimonials

Your thoughts on an aspect on your industry

A gentle promotion for your service

An analysis of the opinion of one of your contemparies

A look behind the scenes of your business

A personal email

A promotion for the product of another business

An amusing story

A promotion for another service you provide

Tips for ———–

How to —————-

Why you should ———–

Why you should never ————-

Another promotion for your business

Save £’s by doing ——–

Ad infinitum

If you wrote one short message per week and added it to your system, by now you have 250 short marketing emails stacked up.

When prospect number 10001 enters your marketing funnel, they will get a new message from you each week AUTOMATICALLY, for the next 5 years, even if you never write another email again.

Now imagine that you’re just about to launch a new product or service. Instead of having to design a marketing campaign to promote it, you BROADCAST one email to your list – a list of people who have pre-qualified their interest.

Perhaps it’s a £997 seminar.

At a 1% response rate, you just pulled in £99,700

Total additional cost of promotion? ZERO.

Use a little smart marketing and run a pre launch campaign and the response rate could well top 5%.

• Move premises and need to let everyone know – send one email
• Change phone number – one email
• Need to recruit – one email
• Have to shut down for a week at short notice – one email
• Need to find a resource quickly – one email.

Can you see the power of this system?

Working closely with internet service providers and closely monitoring the messages sent, these businesses offered a means for marketers to get 97% of their emails delivered.

A DRAMATIC CHANGE

With the advent of email, marketers began to realise that the offline marketing methods that they were currently using could be taken online. They began to use email marketing to build their lists. One of the immediate benefits being, the ability to send information to their lists without incurring postage costs.

However the process of manually collecting and storing email information, then distributing marketing emails, was tedious and time consuming. Imagine for example having to send out 10,000 emails, one by one, just once a month. If each email took one minute, that’s 167 hours per month i.e. a full time job.

Automation was brought to the process and the volume of email marketing began to expand rapidly.

As people began to realise that they could now get their marketing message in front of millions of people for almost no cost, the age of the spammer began. Working on the principle that even with a response rate of 1/1000th of one percent, big profits could be made; the spammers began to flood the inboxes of the world with their messages.

Internet Service Providers like AOL responded by blacklisting the spammers and deleting up to 90% of email BEFORE it reached their users inbox. Legitimate marketers found that the delivery rate of their emails plummeted, so they sent out more emails. That’s a very vicious circle.

Eventually laws were passed worldwide governing the sending of emails.

Back in the days when direct mail (snail mail) was king, thousands of businesses throughout the world quietly went about amassing fortunes via the medium of direct response marketing.

Here’s how they did it (by mail)

They drafted a salesletter that tempted their prospects to request more information, often by giving away FREE information teasers.

Once someone identified themselves as a serious prospect by requesting this information, they were sent follow up letters which offered A SOLUTION to their problem, often at a low price.

Further follow up letters would follow, with the same offer, until the customer bought the product.

Once they had become a PROVEN BUYER, they would be moved to another list and would receive more offers, each more expensive than the last.

This process is known as a marketing funnel.

The whole process was slow, expensive, and needed refinement over a period of time (with associated expense) to make it profitable. In many cases, no profit was made on the campaign until the PROVEN BUYERS bought their second product.

Some companies still operate this way. How often do you receive a catalogue from Viking Office Supplies, or one of the many Wine Clubs?
