In my experience charities are no different to any other “business” in terms of their willingness to use online methods to promote themselves. Big, high profile charities inevitably have an online presence and the smaller charities either do and are wildly successful, or do what they’ve always done and have not yet embraced the power of online marketing.

I know of at least one national charity that still does things the old “horse and cart” way. Frankly it’s a waste of money.
